Twi's Review for season 2(Ongoing)
Okay let's get started, season 2 starts with Yusei Fudo becoming the new king and everyone's cheering,. He didn't want to get involved and quickly ran away. He then winds up getting involved in a duel of darkness(Shadow Duel) in which the duelist would incur damage even greater than that of psychic dueling. He wins and the duel he battles loses any memories of what happened while being controlled. Later, Jack Atlus the former king is approached by Ushio while also being controlled and involved in a shadow duel with carly nagase(dressed as a nurse) acting as his arms, they beat Ushio and Carly takes Jack to her place.
Jack goes on a date with Carly as repayment for her help, but at the end leaves her to go to a tower and stare at the ocean, looking back thinking about how he sacrificed everything to be king including his friends and his home, only to be godwins pawn. Carly appears telling him he can't see satellite from there and that the old jack has died and it's time the true jack rise. Jack takes her advice and refuses to be led astray anymore and later that day they go to satellite when a giant glyph appears.
At the same time, Yusei learns from godwin that he isolated satellite as a means to limit the number of causalities from the Dark Signers, the archenemies of Signers, and the cause of this is linked to the Zero Reverse Incident which caused Satellite to be separated from the main land in the first place. He then is airlifted back to satellite to find his friends and upon landing meets Crow. It's then that a Dark signer appears and creates a Shadow Turbo Duel Circuit. At the same time Jack and Mina explain to Ushio and Carly that Yusei was orphaned by Zero reverse and he was born in the highest part of the city Tops. Jack appears in a helicopter to watch over the duel. The dark signer is an old friend of Jack, Crow, and Yusei who was thought to have died.
During the Turbo duel Kiryu,(The dark signer), plays using a zero hand combo devistating Yusei until he breaks it up and destroys Kiryu's 100 eyed dragon, which Kiryu responds to by calling his Earthbound God monster which was unstoppable and nearly killed him if his D-wheeler hadn't broken and crashed, this however left Yusei with a large shard embedded in his stomach. Crow rushes him to a doctor and Jack wanted to go to his side but Mina refused stating he's useless without his new D-wheeler. Upon landing he tells Carly not to get involved and he would tell her everything.
Carly realizing that she's fallen in love with Jack, wants tries to investigate them by getting help from a signer so she looks up Akiza and Arcadia. During an interview, Misty Lola warns Carly not to investigate the Movement and that it was responsible for the death of her younger brother. Nevertheless Carly goes to the Arcadia Movement. While this is going on the Twins are trying to get help to fight the dark signers from arcadia movement and Akiza. They are captured and Lua is forced into a psychic duel to see if he has any abilities, he's defeated. Carly finds information regarding Rex Goodwin and Divine pops up and challenges her to a psychic duel, if she wins, she goes free. She dueled well but was defeated in a single turn and thrown from a window off the highest floor and landed below on the ground killing her. She wanted to live and the hummingbird mark appeared turning her into a dark signer, she then challenged Divine to a shadow duel and at the same time Misty challeges Akiza to a shadow duel. Jack seeing the emblems rush over to the site on his new D-wheeler.
Akiza manages to get her Dark rose dragon on the field first turn but Misty renders it harmless and summons her earthbound god, the lizard. At the same time Carly summons her earthbound spirit which throws Divine to the lowest level of the building and causes it to collaspe. Due to the EBG(Earth bound gods), taking the souls of all living people in the glyphs, everyone but bomber(who was then rescued, and asked if he had hatred in his heart) had their souls taken. Akiza's duel was postponed due to the building collapsed and the Twins had to escape without her.
Jack pops up and goes for Akiza, but arriving he's sees Carly's glasses and thinks she died when the EBG was summoned and left with Akiza. Carly in a moment of sadness and confusion, Misty approaches her reassures her by telling her that she was saved by her god after hearing her pleas at the moment of her death. They are then airlifted by anther dark signer to safety.
Afterwards, Akiza is hospitalized when her parents come by, Jack suggests that Yusei(who has recovered) is the only one who can help her, he's brought to the hospital and she wakes up to duel him, after the duel is concluded and she has come to terms with her family. Godwin takes them into a mysterious chamber and explains their destiny as Signers and how to stop the engine causing the problem using the dragons. When yusei asked how to save Kiryu, he reveals Dark signers can't be saved, since they are already dead. He gives them time to decide what to do. Satellite is covered in a black mist and everyone disappears including crow and yusei's friends. Yusei and the Signers make their resolve and then fly back to satellite, godwin agrees to finishing the bridge to satellite if they are victorious since there would be no reason to keep them separated now.
When they land they arrive at Martha's place, where Yusei's foster mother lived, the leader of the dark signers appears and duels Yusei. Yusei led the duel away from the house with akiza but some children got trapped inside following them. As Yusei is duel Rudger(the signers leader), he summons his EBG and the childrens souls begin to be absorbed until Jack appears and saves them. However another child was on the roof and Martha and Ushio went to save them, Martha fell into the gylph and was sacrificed. Then Rudger calls out Rally(Yusei's friend) and forces her to duel in his place and she destroys the EBG, resulting in her loss and she turned to dust and died. All the dark signers appear and tell them to challenge them. Akiza would face Misty, Yusei vs. Kiryu, Lua vs. Demak who has her dragon card. As they were leaving Jack chased down the signer who had their hood down only to find out it's Carly and questions how she became one. She tells him "If you want to hear the answer then come find me, my precious Jack."
So in the duel against Demak, Lua is sent to the spirit realm and her brother duels in her place. Later Lua returns and they release Anicent Fairy Dragon and defeat demak, who turns to dust and dies. Rudger then takes bomber from his cell and takes him to the Old Monument where the gateway to the underworld is and kills him, turning him into a Dark signer. Bomber then leaves searching for Yusei only to be interuptted by Crow, who managed to escape the black mist. Crow is angry because the children he was raising were taken by the mist, a similar pain to bomber. They turbo duel and bomber goes on about how a non-signer can't beat him. Crow set the terms of the duel is they play on manual piloting (while dueling this is dangerous so it's usually set to auto) since auto mode can't escape the turbo duels damage easily.
In the middle of the duel Yusei pops up and ask them to stop, they continue with both side taking hits until bomber summons his EBG and Crow manages turn the duel around. However before he can destroy it he sees souls trapped inside the whale. Yusei tells Bomber to look and it's the souls of his village trapped within. He loses the will to fight but the EBG takes over his body and continues the duel. Bomber begs Crow to destroy the whale and free the souls. He does but a piece of debris falls to the ground nearly killing Crow when bomber saves him. He dies turning to dust with a smile on his face, saving his brothers and sisters from the EBG.
Kiryu and Yusei's duel commences and Yusei and him duel. Kiryu's past is explored. From the moment that he was painfully imprinted him with a Criminal mark, to that of when the prision guards constantly beat him out. they also took away from him that which was very much important to him his Deck. After that Kiryu is seen on the cell in which that an unknown voice spoke to him. It said to him that of being a messenger of the Underworld who came with a proposition. That being that if Kiryu has some sort of unfinished business that he could came back to complete it as a Dark Signer. He then died and became a Dark signer. Once Yusei summons Savior Star Dragon, it takes down his EBG and wins the duel. By this, Kiryu loses and in the end not only does he makes peace with him, but also reveals to Yusei he had another purpose besides that of revenge when he transformed into a Dark Signer. That being that Kiryu wanted to also carry out Team Satisfactions Last Duel. After that Kiryu finally turns into dust.
As Rudgar meets godwin, his little brother he duels him. Afterwards he and Yusei duels and his past is revealed as he was the last signer. Crow runs into Godwin and they have a little chat. Rudger also reveals that Mr. Fudo 17 years ago began the "Yusei Project" which ultimately was the name he would give to his son. And that same project would be the one that originally would resulted in the creation of the Enerdy. Before causing the Old Enerdy incident he also reveals that the reason of why he caused the explosion. As according to Rudger it was only a way to be reborn into a Dark Signer. As even if he was chosen since birth also by the Crimson Dragon, now at that time a Nazca God had also too. And so Rudger instead had preferred the path of darkness.
He tore off his arm with his crimson dragon mark and gave it to his brother telling him when he comes back in a few years to defeat him. In the present After Yusei beats Rudger as he declares a final attack with Stardust Dragon and defeats a weakened Uru thanks to Battle Waltz. Though defeated, Rudger proceeds to tell Yusei that things have not finished yet, as an Ultimate God will soon be born. That being the King of the Underworld. After that before Rudger dissolves away he quickly detonates his left arm, blowing up the bridge and sending Yusei falling into the depths of the Enerdy system.

Let me say I'm finding this season dam* good, it has drama, action and expands character development. Jack becomes less of a douche bag, Like Kaiba from the first series, Akiza bonded with her parents and has a reason to fight, Yusei's past is revealed and Crow turns out to be bada** defeating security and dark signers alike, and his bike kicks a** too
I actually feel bad for some of the dark signers, like Misty wanted revenge on her brother(whose death was supposibly the rose witches fault), bomber who wanted revenge on Godwin only to find out the dark signers were responsible, the evil irony, he didn't deserve that. Kiryu was mistaken thinking Yusei betrayed him to the security and Carly, she fell in love only to be killed by Divine and she deserved revenge in all honesty , now she has to face Jack who had resolved to save her thinking she was a captured soul, that's just freakin' evil on behave of the writers. Adding to martha and rally's deaths it really is a dark arc. The seal of Orihalcos arc in the original series best matches as a description of the duels and the earthbound gods are like the egyptian god cards, only more of them and is way more bad *** in terms of graphics, 3d rules. I give this arc a 4/5.
